Level 3 - Children's Domestic Abuse Advocate
Our training team have developed this level 3 qualification to assist professionals who support children who have been impacted by domestic abuse.

The CDAA course is accredited by OCNLR and is a nationally recognised qualification. Upon successful completion of the course and assessments, you will receive a certificate as an accredited Children's Domestic Abuse Advocate.
The course is made up of six training days. The overall timeframe to complete the qualification, including feedback is 3-4 months.
This course is delivered online using Zoom.
The course is worth 16 CPD credits.
Who is the course for?
This qualification is designed for any professional looking to deepen their understanding of how to effectively support children impacted by domestic abuse.
Professionals who hold an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) qualification, who are working with or seeking to work with children, will find this course valuable and beneficial. This course would be of particular interest for roles such as Children’s IDVA (CHIDVA) or a Kid’s IDVA (KIDVA).

Time commitment & assessment:
The course is made up of six training days. The overall timeframe to complete the qualification, including feedback and certification is around 4-5 months.
The Total Qualification Time (TQT) for this course is 85 hours.
You must be able to attend all live training days including the induction session. The assessment is in the form of a question and answer workbook and portfolio. Depending on your level of experience of domestic abuse and completing assessments, it may take up to 20 hours to complete the assessment.

Exploring domestic abuse and its impact on children, including Child and Adolescent to Parent Violence
Examining the effects of domestic abuse on children's well-being and development
Adopting a trauma-informed approach to supporting children and offering holistic family support
Effectively assessing and addressing the needs of children impacted by domestic abuse
Collaborating with agencies for comprehensive support and developing resources for children
Engaging in self-reflection to improve support practices for children

All training days are 10-4:30pm
How much does it cost?
£950 including VAT for voluntary agencies and self-funders.
£1200 plus VAT for statutory agencies and other organisations (total price £1440).
Payments can be made by bank transfer or debit/credit card.
